First 8 Seconds is a landing page audit service run by TWEAK LLC, a Utah company. This page says what information we collect when you use thefirsteightseconds.com and portal.thefirsteightseconds.com, what we do with it, and how to change or delete it.
What we collect
When you create an account: your email address and a password. We never store the password; Supabase, our database provider, stores it in hashed form. If you enter a name, we keep that too.
When you order an audit: the page address you want audited, what the page is for, who it is for, your company name, and any answers you give about what you sell, who buys it, your competitors and your proof points. All of this goes into the audit and appears in your report.
When you pay: payment is handled by Stripe. Your card details go to Stripe and never pass through our servers. We keep the order record: date, package, amount, refund amounts and a Stripe reference number.
When you use the portal: we record when a report was opened, who you shared it with (their name and email address) and when, and replies you send us about a paused audit. We also keep a log of every email we send, including to people you share a report with, and whether it left our system.
On the public landing page: Microsoft Clarity records how visitors move through the page. Text typed into the form is masked in those recordings. Clarity runs on the landing page only, never inside the portal. Google Analytics runs on both.
What we use it for
To run your audit, deliver your report, take payment, answer your questions, and tell you about your order. We use the analytics data to see how the site is used. We also use what we learn from audits, without identifying you or your company, to improve the service; that continues after you delete your account. We do not sell your information, and we do not use it for advertising.
Who else touches it
We run on other companies' services, and your information passes through them:
- Supabase — database and sign-in (servers in the United States)
- Vercel — hosts the site
- Stripe — payment
- Resend — sends our emails
- Anthropic (Claude) — helps us produce the audit; your page address and the answers you give us are sent to it
- Google — Google Analytics for site usage, and Gmail, where our support inbox and our own copies of order emails live
- Microsoft Clarity — landing page recordings
Each of these has its own privacy policy. Supabase, Vercel, Stripe, Resend and Anthropic use your information only to provide their service to us. Google's and Microsoft's analytics tools also use what they collect under their own policies.
We share your information with nobody else, unless the law requires it.
Cookies
A sign-in cookie keeps you logged in across thefirsteightseconds.com and the portal. Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity set their own cookies. We do not respond to browser Do Not Track signals.
How long we keep it
Your account, company profile, audits and reports stay until you delete your account. Order records are kept after that for as long as tax law requires, at least three years, with your company details removed from them. Our email log is kept without your address. Stripe keeps its own records under its policy. Analytics data already collected by Google and Microsoft, and emails already sent, are not removed.
Changing or deleting your information
Sign in and open Account to change your password or delete your account. Open Company profile to change what you told us about your company. To change your email address or name, or to get a copy of the information we hold about you, email us.
Deleting your account removes your sign-in, your company profile, your audits, your reports and any links you shared. It cannot be undone, so download any report you want to keep first. If an audit is queued, cancel it first. If we have started on one, or you have unused audit credits, email us: we will cancel or refund, and then you can delete.
You can also email hello@thefirsteightseconds.com from the address on your account and we will do it for you.
Children
The service is for businesses and is not meant for anyone under 18.
Changes to this page
When this page changes, the date at the top changes with it. If a change affects how we use your information, we will email account holders.
